About

Roger Giner-Sorolla was born in Connecticut, USA many years ago to a Catalan father and an English mother. He went to Cornell undergraduate, NYU for grad school where he got his Ph.D. in 1996; quant minor, advisor Shelly Chaiken. After a very formative postdoc at the University of Virginia thanks to Tim Wilson, wherein he married the wonderful, simpática Rea Giner-Sorolla (née Klosky) and got interested in specific emotions and morality, he had two wandering years at Swarthmore and Bowdoin before accepting his current position at the University of Kent in Canterbury, England. He is now (full) Professor there.

To continue writing of myself in the third person, but even more impersonally: The views expressed in this blog are those of the author and do not necessarily reflect official positions of JESP, SESP, Elsevier, the University of Kent, the Friday Night Social Consortium or the Old School Renaissance.
